When can I call your Agency?
My office hours are 9.30am – 7pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am – 6pm on Fridays.
At other times, my Answer-phone is always on, and if you have an emergency, I would try to help you if I can.
How do I register with your Agency for a Nanny / HK?
Please complete the appropriate family registration form on the website. If you would like a 10% discount on the Fees, (15% for returning Clients) in return for a sole agency agreement for 20 working days, then please complete the brief Discount form too.
What will it cost me to use your Agency?
Full details of my charges are displayed on the Fees page.
Basic fees for a permanent placement are 5 x Net weeks’ salary.
From there, you can have 2 options:
1) to give me “sole Agency” for 20 working days, in which case there is a 10% discount on the placement Fees for you, (15% for returning Clients), or
2) for Clients who choose not to give me “sole Agency”, there is a registration Fee of £50, which will be deducted from your Invoice on placement of either a Permanent or Temporary applicant.
In some instances there can be an administration charge to cover costs I incur in terms of both wasted time and / or advertising. You should read Terms 4.11 for full information, but examples of the circumstances in which an administration fee would be charged are;
a)when the Client gives a vacancy to the Agency, that the Agency works on this vacancy, and submits applicant(s) to the Client, and then the Client decides to change the specification of the job, or withdraws the vacancy,
b) fails to notify the Agency that the vacancy has been filled, and the Agency continues to work on this vacancy, or
c) sources an applicant from elsewhere within the 20 working day period of the sole agency agreement.,
In all instances, this administration charge would be deducted from the full permanent placement Fee providing that the vacancy is successfully filled by my Agency within a further 6 months from the date of issue of the Administration Invoice.
How do I know that I can trust you?
As I am the owner of The Association of Prime Nanny Agencies (APNA), an organisation which exists to ensure that working standards of any member Agency are “of the best possible quality; excellent”. I give you a proven, fully accountable level of Service, and can show that I work in a professional, honest and ethical way.
What guarantee do I have?
I provide a guarantee period of 8 weeks, and during that time, in the unlikely event that a Permanent placement is not successful, I will offer you a free replacement through my Agency. (Subject to Terms, see Clauses 7.1-7.4)
What does it cost to use your Agency?
The charge for permanent placements is x5 net weeks’ salary, with no VAT charged. While my Fees are in many cases already more reasonable than those of other Agencies, additionally I can offer you a 10% discount on the fees in return for a sole agency agreement.
Clients who return to my Agency to use my Service, and whom again sign up for the Sole Agency agreement, will be given a 15% discount on permanent placement Fees.
You can read full information on both Fees and Discounts within the Family pages of the Website.
How and when will I receive my invoice?
An offer is counted as a definite Engagement once a firm offer (either verbal or oral) is made to the Applicant and has been accepted by them, and after the Client has confirmed this offer by either telephone, or in writing, to the Agency. Once the offer is a definite Engagement, the full fees will be payable
What are my payment terms?
Placement fees as set out in these Terms are due to be paid in full to the Agency by the Client within 10 days of the Client’s acceptance of the Agency’s Applicant, or within 10 days of the date of the Issue of the Invoice, unless the Applicant starts within that first 10 day period, in which case the Invoice must be paid immediately. In all cases the Invoice must be paid PRIOR to the Applicant commencing with the family.
What happens if I would like to source my own nanny, but need some help with references and DBS checks, and so on?
Well, sometimes people choose for whatever reason not to use my Agency to find their Nanny or Housekeeper, and just need some help towards the end of their recruitment process.
In those circumstances I can offer you:
- Training Courses (including Ofsted Compliant First Aid Courses) to improve their Nanny’s knowledge and abilities
- Emergency First Aid courses to help their Au Pair, Babysitter or even Grandparents look after the children safely
- Enhanced DBS checks (Not available to memebers of the Public)
- Reference Checking
- Ofsted Registration Service.
How can I settle my account?
You can pay directly into my Account by BACS. Full details will be on your Invoice.
