Look after 1 girl, aged 5, who is starting Year 1 in September.
Sole charge position, working Monday to Friday.
Basic hours are 07.00-09.00, then down time, during some of which your nanny duties can be carried out, and 14.00 – 19.00; there are minor alterations to these times as required. Two evenings of babysitting Monday-Friday usually required.
(During school holidays the days will be fuller).
A Driver is preferred as it makes getting to school slightly easier, but this is not essential.
Languages spoken at home are English and Greek.
Salary offered £500-£560 gross per week.
The family describe themselves as being “low key”, professional and warm. They are offering a rewarding live-in nanny role caring for one girl, aged 5. She is very creative, and among many things loves music, reading, drawing, arts & crafts and dressing up-role play. She also loves playing outdoors (cycling & scootering) and being with the Family Dog (a small dog, a schnoodle,) in the Park.
Standard nanny duties include: preparing healthy breakfast and lunch/snacks (housekeeper prepares dinner), daily preparation of child for school, school uniform, clean shoes, hair and school bag, creating healthy weekly meal plan, doing all child’s laundry and regular clothes sorting, changing child’s bedding weekly, keeping child’s room and play areas clean and tidy, ensuring bath is tidy after use (toys, emptying bathtub after bath). Be responsible for regular rotation and sorting of toys. Cleaning up after the child. Planning age appropriate play / activities (such as helping with homework daily and reading and writing, use of computer for homework etc). Being aware of child’s emotional and developmental needs. Teach and develop table manners, (must eat with knife and fork) etc. Keeping daily diary of activities and any comments.
Accompanying child to planned afternoon activities (ballet, music lessons), which may change as she grows older. Supervise/ organise playdates. No TV Policy in the week.
